Operating principle
A float with built-in permanent magnet mounted on the immersion tube of the TSK liquid level transmitter follows the liquid level up and down. Inside the immersion tube, a second magnet is located in the bigger of two guide tubes; this second magnet is integrated in a rotating endless chain and follows the float magnet (and hence the liquid level). The movement of this magnet moves the endless chain, which then acts on a measuring potentiometer via a gear in the connection box of the TSK level indication transmitter.
The change in resistance in the measuring potentiometer is recorded via the MWU... measuring transducer an converted into an impressed voltage (types MWU 010 and MWU 1020) or an impressed current (types MWU 020, MWU 1020 and MWU 420). This signal is evaluated by an indicating instrument. If, in addition to indication, the user also wants to have limit contacts this is possible using an SKG ... switching unit or by selecting an indicating instrument with built-in limit contacts.
 
These units must only be mounted and connected by a qualified specialist personnel.
