Lucky Charm 2024

Last summer, Managing Director Lars Mattil had the opportunity to buy Jola’s Japanese lucky charm for 2024 in Japan. He did so in the former capital Kyōto in the traditional neighbourhood of Gion in the large, famous Yasaka Shrine (Yasaka-jinja) built in 656.

This year’s lucky charm is an o-mamori (御守). This is a specific type of amulet that is either taken with you (e.g. in your wallet, handbag, etc.) or kept in a special place (e.g. in a jewellery box), usually small embroidered fabric bags. This one, however, is made of metal.

Its specialisation is economic fortune, which may be bestowed upon Jola for her ventures in 2024!
