Anniversary celebrations for the administrative building (built in 1920/21)

Jola is celebrating the centenary of its administrative building on the spot, which was built in the course of several structural extensions in 1920/1921 by Albert Haas, the then managing director of the predecessor company, the cloth factory Gebrüder Haas (Haas Brothers).

The electrotechnical company Jola Spezialschalter emerged in the 1950s from the Gebrüder Haas (Haas Brothers) cloth factory in the German town of Lambrecht (Palatinate) – at that time an important industrial location. It had to stop production in 1961 due to the economic decline of the German textile industry. The 100th anniversary of the administration building will be celebrated in its almost originally preserved rooms, which director Albert Haas (1877-1936) had built in 1920/1921 to expand the cloth factory and set it up for the future. The guided special exhibition uses selected exhibits to tell the story of a “born cloth-maker and businessman” and his life’s work. It tells of difficult times and economic growth, of continuity and change, of yesterday and today. The exhibition takes place within the context of the “German Sustainability Action Days” and the “European Sustainable Development Week” from 20 to 26 September 2021.
