Quality policy
Jola Spezialschalter GmbH & Co. KG has established and implemented a quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, which is maintained and continuously improved.
In addition, the EN ISO/IEC 80079-34 standard is used in the manufacture of products used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Jola commits itself as well as its employees to meet applicable requirements and to continually improve the QMS.
The quality policy supports our company’s strategic direction.
It is based on the quality management principles described in ISO 9000:2015.
1. Customer focus
We achieve sustainable success if Jola wins and maintains the trust of customers and other relevant stakeholders. Understanding and fulfilling their current and future requirements is the main focus of our quality management.
2. Leadership
Our executives and senior management ensure that policies, strategies, processes and resources are continually adapted to achieve our objectives. Care must be taken to ensure that they match the purpose and direction of Jola. The persons concerned are to be included.
3. Engagement of people
We are convinced that competent, empowered and committed people create value. Therefore, respect for all employees and their involvement is important to us.
4. Process approach
If we treat our activities as interrelated processes within a coherent system, we can achieve consistent and predictable results more effectively and efficiently. Understanding these relationships in the QMS, which is embedded in Jola’s Integrated Management System (IMS), enables the system and its performance to be improved.
5. Improvement
We continually keep an emphasis on improvement. This is essential to maintain current levels of performance, to react to changes in internal and external conditions and to create new opportunities.
6. Evidence-based decision making
Decision-making is often a complex process and always involves a certain degree of uncertainty. It is particularly difficult to interpret evidence when there are different types and sources of input. To better understand the relationships between cause and effect – e.g. through facts, evidence and data analysis – can lead to more objective decisions.
7. Relationship management
We actively manage our relationships with relevant stakeholders because they influence our corporate performance.
Company certificates
Jola is certified according to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. In addition, it holds a production quality assurance that meets the requirements of the ATEX Directive.
Product approvals
Many Jola products carry approval marks. Those used in potentially explosive atmospheres possess an EC type examination certificate according to the ATEX Directive. Other products have been granted design approval in accordance with the standards of the German Institute for Construction Technique (“Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik” (DIBt)). Several products have additionally received special authorization.
