Jola Invited to the Farewell Party for Piet van Veelen of Jola’s Dutch Sales Partner Vedotec
On 2 June 2025, Jola’s Dutch sales partner Vedotec hosted a special event at a special location in Rotterdam. The latter was the former passenger ship “SS Rotterdam”, which has since been converted into a museum and hotel. The occasion was the farewell party for company founder Piet van Veelen, who set up his own business as Vedotec in 2002 and took over Jola’s product portfolio from the previous sales partner Elauma, where he had been in charge of it years before. The guests gathered in bright sunshine and enjoyed an entertaining afternoon and evening, during which the successful entrepreneur’s life’s work was honoured by his business partners, friends and family. Jola’s sales manager Gerrit Volz and managing director Lars Mattil were in attendance and enjoyed the entertaining conversations with the Vedotec family and their guests. Former managing director Volker Mattil was unfortunately unable to attend and therefore send his wishes in a video. Jola was one of the first brands marketed by Vedotec and is still marketed by the company, which has since become one of the leading building technology players in the Netherlands.
