Summer Barbecue in a Family Atmosphere

At the end of the summer, Jola organised a cosy barbecue in perfect weather and high spirits. Everyone gathered at the Hans Abel winery, where the founder had passed on not only the winery but also his first name to his son. The latter and his sister Beate were sent by their father to Jola in Lambrecht in the 1990s to “learn something useful”. Both successfully completed their training as industrial clerks in 1991-1993 (Beate) and 1995-1997 (Hans). She subsequently remained loyal to the office, while he was drawn to the vineyard. Just as well, because otherwise the Jolaners would not have been able to taste many fine wines.

During a hike through the neighbouring vineyards led by Hans Abel Jr., they had acquired the necessary theoretical knowledge to enjoy the house wine and the homemade steaks, meat skewers and sausages afterwards – as so often supplemented by salad and dessert donations from the participants.
