Exhibition of Haiku and Painting on 3-9 March 2025 at Jola Spezialschalter in Lambrecht
In the first week of March 2025, the electrotechnical company Jola Spezialschalter will be hosting an exhibition in its buildings of the former Gebrüder Haas cloth factory.
For once, art will be on display in Lambrecht in the place where three-way carding machines once produced a loose slab yarn in the pre-spinning mill. Haiku (poems) and painting will enter into a dialogue. The occasion is the publication of the book “Aus des Lebens großem Saal” by Athena-Verlag. The book describes the six-year creative process in which a picture went to the poet and a haiku to the painter 17 times in alternation.
The results of this creative dialogue – 17 paintings and 17 haiku – will be on display at the exhibition. It will be open from Monday, 3 March 2025 to Sunday, 9 March 2025 from 11 am to 6 pm. The company Jola Spezialschalter is located in Lambrecht at Klostergartenstraße 11 and admission is free of charge.
The artists will personally supervise the exhibition and be present on site: Lambrecht resident Norbert C. Korte, who created the haiku – originally Japanese three-line poems with 5-7-5 syllables – and painter Kristina Marion Vetter.
