Working Safely in Times of Corona – „3G Check“ for Jolarians and Visitors

Due to changes in the German Infection Protection Act, the so-called “3G check” (vaccinated / recovered / tested) was now set down in law nationwide as a duty for German companies from 24 November 2021.

Due to the poor development of the pandemic indicators, new, restrictive regulations have recently been issued for people who have not been vaccinated or have recovered. The so-called “3G inspection” has now been defined by law as an obligation for German companies. Employees and employers must provide evidence that they have been vaccinated, recovered or tested.

In the “SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Safety and Health Regulation” these changes have only been taken into account editorially, but not yet in terms of content, while not at all in the “SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Safety and Health Rule.”

At Jola, the “3G check” was also at the same time introduced for visitors, who have been entering our company premises significantly less than before the start of the pandemic almost 2 years ago.

The forth scheduled meeting of Jola’s work safety board on 1 December facilitated at short notice the coordination with company doctor Dr. Gabriele Magerl (Koamed | Competence Centre for Occupational Medicine and Work Safety) and occupational safety specialist Michael Rink (Technische Überwachung Rink GmbH). Everyone agreed that the measures taken are sensible and appropriate in view of the current situation in order to counter the particular health hazards and to contain their risk potential.
